12V SMPS Circuit Design
Nowadays SMPS is taking place of transformer base power supply in every gadget. The main advantage of SMPS is it is very light weight compared to the transformer. Here I am showing the schematic of 230V AC to 12V DC SMPS using MOSFET and transistor. It is capable to supply up to 2A output current.
This is a very small and simple circuit. Output is completely isolated from input. Keep attention to the transformer winding. Below is the PCB Layout:
